(as dictated by Emily)
Once upon there was a girl name Emily and she was out in the garden, at the brown house, and she decided she wanted to make a boat. Her cousin Tyler had made a raft to put on the river and Emily wanted to make a boat. She found two warped pieces of wood---each board was probably 8 feet long and a foot wide. She decided if she colored the board with crayon it would help to make it water proof. So Emily, Sarah and Rachel colored each board with crayons. During the process it rained and the garden started to fill up with a little stream of water. Emily decided it would better to make it into a bigger stream with more water so she started to make a way for the water more available. And got wood and rocks. During the process she stepped on a piece of wood with an old rusty nail. It went through her foot. She was screaming and her mom came to help. Right then the downstairs' renter (I think her name was Jamie, who worked as a nurse) came to look at her foot. It hurt. Ouch. The end.

I (that's Matt) have had the thought for a while to start a family memory book. During this last conference I felt that it's fine time to begin. Well, after a little thought I decided it would be best to start it in a blog. Mom's hosting and we're all authors now. So, if you want to take part, here are the
The purpose of this blog is to archive family stories and memories from birthing guppies to collapsing brick playhouses and tweezers in sockets. With a little work we'll be able to get ourselves a good walk down memory lane for the family in the coming generations.
I'm hoping that we might pull this out during family vacations to get things going especially well.

I love you all and am glad to call you family. I'm grateful for what we've got--thanks for being part of it.
Matt
